This is an authentic pair of  French 37mm brass cartridge cases, stamped 37-85 PD.Ps.  Jan 1918/April 1918, is a lovely pair of Trench art from the World War I artillery history. Originally designed for the Mle 1885 37mm Hotchkiss gun, these casings was manufactured in 1918 as the war was coming to its end.
